(Patria) - Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović and RS President Milorad Dodik today sent a letter to all BiH ambassadors and consuls general from the RS, as well as heads of RS representations abroad, requesting the intensification of diplomatic activities to promote the interests and demands of RS officials.
"Given the increasing complexity of the political situation in BiH, and constant attacks on the leadership and institutions of the RS, we are providing you with instructions for action regarding a proactive approach by heads of RS representations, as well as ambassadors and consuls general from the RS in your host countries and non-resident representation, as well as in multilateral missions and organizations," the letter states.
Dodik and Cvijanović requested the "intensification of diplomatic activities" through media campaigns, which should highlight the "political motives of the proceedings being conducted against President Dodik and other RS officials."
They also demand constant lobbying with representatives of the host country aimed at "preventing a 'witch hunt' against all RS officials, increased engagement with international partners and friends of the RS," as well as "strong opposition to the actions of (High Representative) Christian Schmidt, which threaten the Dayton Peace Agreement and the BiH Constitution."
Cvijanović and Dodik are asking their ambassadors and consuls to play the Islamophobia card and the "protection of Christians in BiH." The Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency recently did something similar in a "non-paper" sent to European officials, stating that "Bosniaks are attacking Serbs in Sarajevo and waving Hamas and Hezbollah flags."
In the segment on military and institutional strategy, Dodik and Cvijanović are lobbying for the withdrawal of NATO forces from BiH and the closure of the Office of the High Representative (OHR).
"You are required to submit reports on a weekly basis, and when necessary, on a daily basis. We call on you to act urgently in accordance with the instruction, noting that your activities, in line with the above, will be taken into priority consideration when evaluating your work in the context of support for future diplomatic appointments," Cvijanović and Dodik warned in the letter.
