Guardians of Bosnia: International community yields to Dodik's separatism, BiH citizens ready to defend the country

(Patria) - The unconstitutional marking of January 9th, Republika Srpska Day, was held again. This amounts to yielding to the separatism and chauvinism pursued by Milorad Dodik's regime, despite the fact that the marking was declared contrary to the BiH Constitution, according to a statement from the Citizens' Association "Guardians of Bosnia".

"High Representative Christian Schmidt has broken his promise from last year not to allow the marking of January 9th in the 'last year's format'. We are aware that last year the marking of the Day in East Sarajevo was overlooked to raise the bar of tolerance and make the marking in Banja Luka normal. However, organizing an unconstitutional holiday in Banja Luka this year does not change the fact that it is still a violation of the BiH Constitution," say "Guardians of Bosnia".

They add that "the international community and its institutions, through their leniency towards Dodik, have once again demonstrated that they have no serious intention of protecting the constitutional and legal order of BiH. Instead, they continue to tolerate the separatist aspirations of the criminal regime in RS, which threatens the existence of the state of BiH".

"Due to the continuous disregard of its obligations and duties by the international community, the only remaining solution for the citizens of BiH who wish to preserve the constitutional order and integrity of their country is to organize resistance themselves against Dodik's efforts to turn the RS entity into a parallel state within BiH.

The state institutions of BiH should finally react adequately, given that after previous warnings and statements from Guardians of Bosnia, they have not taken any concrete measures. Institutions such as the BiH Prosecutor's Office, the Intelligence Security Agency, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, and the Ministries of Security and Defense have missed the opportunity to protect the constitutional order through timely and decisive action, even though we are losing the state of BiH before our eyes every day," the statement said.

"Guardians of Bosnia" once again call on the international community to finally take responsibility and take concrete steps before it is too late.

"They owe this to the citizens of BiH who have lost faith that the international community even wants to preserve the state of BiH. Empty statements of concern no longer help and do not meet the expectations of BiH citizens. Urgent and concrete steps are needed, primarily the urgent removal of Dodik and his regime from the political scene of BiH.

It is also necessary to dismiss all those in BiH institutions who have not fulfilled their legal obligations and duties to protect the country's constitutional order. Their inactivity is also unacceptable," they state.

"If all necessary measures are not taken within the next seven days, it will be a clear signal that the pro-Bosnian side is left to itself in defending the state of BiH. Citizens of BiH have demonstrated countless times throughout history their ability to defend their homeland, even when international factors have tied their hands. Much stronger empires have broken their teeth trying to break the resistance of this people. We will, this time too, if necessary, seek allies and partners at home and abroad to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our homeland," conclude the press release from the Association "Guardians of Bosnia".
