Red Cross Engages 77 Professionals and 575 Volunteers

(Patria) - Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, volunteers and staff of the Red Cross of the Federation of BiH, in line with their mandate, have helped a total of 2,812 beneficiaries across the Federation of BiH through home visits and provided 4,108 services (shopping, pharmacy visits and medicine delivery, bill payments, distribution of food and hygiene packages...). So far, 77 professionals and 575 volunteers have been engaged.

In addition, we have continued to provide support and assistance to our fellow citizens through soup kitchens, humanitarian aid packages, and protective equipment. The Red Cross of the Federation of BiH has also provided direct assistance in the form of protective equipment to public health and social institutions through its structure.

The Red Cross, as an organization of significance for the Federation of BiH, has done a lot, but our current capacities also require support from others. In this regard, we kindly ask you to publish the following message in your esteemed media:

Funds are being collected for the social and health needs of our citizens caused by the coronavirus outbreak. As always, Red Cross volunteers perform their duties quietly, effectively, and with dignity. Special attention is paid to those over 65 years of age who live without close relatives.
