On Tuesday, September 22, 2015, bailiffs will enter the apartment of Kemal Čaušević, former director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, who was arrested in the Pandora operation in June 2014 along with 54 other people on the order of the BiH Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of organized crime, money laundering, and customs and tax evasion, and will seize property based on the lawsuits filed by Mehmedalija Osmić, president of the UIOBiH Trade Union, and the Federal Ministry of Finance, writes the BiH news agency Patria.
Osmić told the Patria agency that he would attend the seizure, as would representatives of the Federal Ministry of Finance, and that Čaušević does not need to be present because the bailiffs have an order to enter the apartment.
Kemal Čaušević's lawyer, Asim Crnalić, told Patria that they had not received such an order, but that he was aware of the dispute which his client had lost and that the value of the dispute was 5,000 KM.
- The dispute was conducted at the Basic Court in Banja Luka. Čaušević did not appear there for health reasons, so the Court made such a decision. However, we did not receive that decision. Čaušević had previously filed an appeal with the Constitutional Court of FBiH, but the appeal was rejected – Crnalić stated.
