SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The first person infected with coronavirus in Mostar has died, confirmed for N1 from the Crisis Staff of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
The infection in this man was confirmed on March 17.
A day before the confirmation of COVID-19 infection, two patients from the wider Mostar area - father and son - were admitted to the University Clinical Hospital Mostar. According to them, they had no positive epidemiological history and had respiratory difficulties and pneumonia, and were subsequently placed in the Department of Pulmonary Diseases.
They were tested for COVID-19 at the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, and the father tested positive, while the son tested negative.
Due to this case, the entire Department of Pulmonary Diseases of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar had to be quarantined.
