COVID-19: Czech Republic Most Affected Country in Central Europe

(Patria) – The Czech Republic has recorded 3,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, with an increase of 184 in a single day.

In this regard, the Czech Republic is the most affected among the countries of Central Europe. So far, 43,000 residents have been tested, which is significantly less than Western neighbors like Germany, but considerably more than countries in Southeastern Europe.

The number of deaths due to complications of the disease is 23, while 25 people have recovered.

The Czech government has extended the measures already taken against the spread of coronavirus, including the closure of catering facilities and movement restrictions, until April 11. The state border remains closed.

Small grocery stores, pharmacies, and gas stations remain open, while residents are allowed to move to their workplaces or visit family, with mandatory mask-wearing.
