Čović celebrates Croatian bronze: Received Karačić, forgot about Tuka and our cadets and volleyball players!

Dragan Čović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, spoke today with Croatian national team handball player Igor Karačić, winner of the bronze medal, reports the Patria news agency.

Nothing unusual, one might say, but why, for example, did Čović not receive Amel Tuka, a medal winner for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country over which Čović currently presides!?

Should Kolinda Grabar Kitarović therefore receive some athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina because of the successes they have achieved for their country?

With this act, Dragan Čović clearly indicated what Croatia means to him, and that would be perfectly fine, if he were not in the position he holds.

Incidentally, Igor's brother Ivan Karačić plays for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national handball team, and it is unlikely that he will ever be received by Dragan Čović. Regardless of what successes Ivan achieves with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, for Čović it will obviously be a priority only for those athletes who compete under the Croatian flag, because otherwise he would have received the gold medal-winning basketball cadets, volleyball players, etc.

That Čović considers Croatia his own is also evidenced by the statement he gave after this meeting.

He emphasized that such successes "act encouragingly on many of our girls and boys to start playing handball and other sports and that in this way not only future athletes are raised, but also a healthy and stable society," and gave full support to the winner of the European bronze in further sports, but also life struggles.

With this message, is Čović encouraging youth of Croatian nationality to leave Bosnia and Herzegovina, their home country, and defend the flags of other countries?
