Čović announced he will crush his HNS partners: Cvitanović and HDZ 1990 left out of HNK Government!

(Patria) - Dragan Čović is determined in his intention to oust his partners from the Croatian National Assembly from power at any level. Clearly, this refers to HDZ 1990, which Čović considers an enemy party, even though in the rhetoric he presents to Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and other 'sponsors' he constantly repeats platitudes about pan-Croatian unity and pan-Croatian support precisely for him!

He told them he would crush them

It is an open secret that the leader of HDZ BiH has long told his 'partners' from HNS that he will crush them wherever he can. The reason is that he demanded that the ninety-year-olds hand him the seat in the state House of Peoples on a silver platter. However, when he failed in that intention, revenge began, which is not stopping, writes Dnevni.ba

Čović, through his people, delayed the formation of the government in HNK. He worked on destabilizing the bloc that HDZ 1990 and SDP BiH had assembled, which at one point had enough votes for a final solution. However, everything was done to 'break up' this bloc in such a way as to eliminate Ilija Cvitanović's party from all combinations.

At the meetings regarding the formation of the government in HNK, which have been held in recent days, Čović's negotiators have clearly and loudly stated that all combinations are possible except those that include HDZ 1990, and even HRS.

Čović does not want to 'deliver' any 'Croatian' ministry (as if it were his) to any other party with a Croatian prefix. He wants to keep everything under his control and not find himself in a situation where anyone else has a say in any matter. Thus, European principles are publicly promoted, but in practice, pure communism is implemented, from which even staunch communists turn away today.

HDZ BiH in HNK has 'turned' to its old partners, Bakir Izetbegović's SDA, with whom, as things stand now, they will continue to govern that canton. SDP BiH could also join the government with them, but negotiations are still underway, and there are still unfinished matters, such as how many ministries belong to which party, and there are disagreements over influential positions in public enterprises and agencies...

What about the FBiH Government?

However, the repercussions of a combination in which Dragan Čović gives a lifeline to Bakir Izetbegović, and this combination can also be interpreted in that way, could be bad for the functioning of the FBiH Government, in which HDZ 1990 also participates.

At that level, Čović has completely violated the coalition agreement, i.e., the agreement based on which the current composition of the Government received support. Of course, this concerns the distribution of positions in public institutions and agencies. Namely, according to that agreement, HDZ 1990 was supposed to receive slightly over 20 percent of the positions, but Dragan Čović stopped it and has not allowed any appointments of HDZ 1990 cadres for months.

Apart from the Minister of Health, which HDZ 1990 received, and two assistants, Čović has stopped everything. Allegedly, he even agreed to give consent for the position of Minister of Health only after intense pressure from the international factor.

The ninety-year-olds are trying to be a constructive partner at the federal level, but it seems they have been left exposed and without the support of other partners to soften Dragan Čović's stance. This primarily refers to the FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, who has repeatedly told HDZ 1990 that he stands with them regarding the implementation of the coalition agreement.

The ninety-year-olds, on the other hand, with their votes in the FBiH Parliament, can exert 'pressure' and condition the adoption of some significant laws. For now, they are not doing so and are behaving constructively. Whether this will remain the case after the government is formed in HNK without them, or if a new majority will need to be formed in the FBiH, and even a reconstruction of the FBiH Government, remains to be seen.

The twenty-year-olds have already given the green light for the government in HBŽ to be formed without Čović's stalwarts. It is known that Čović has illusorily insisted at all negotiation meetings so far that power be handed over to him there as well.

Čović has, therefore, destined 'crushing' for his partners from HNS, expecting them to agree to 'self-destruction', and then he will package it all for Plenković as 'pan-Croatian unity' fighting for 'legitimate representation'. It is hard to believe that the Croatian Prime Minister is so naive as not to understand the situation in the Croatian body in BiH, but for now, he is behaving disoriented. He gives unconditional support to Čović, and thus agrees to the 'crushing' of his HNS partners.
