Čović at Leaders' Summit in New York: Talks on the fight against ISIL and violent extremism

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović will participate in the Leaders' Summit dedicated to the fight against the Islamic State and violent extremism in New York on 29 September 2015, it was announced, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Čović received an invitation from the President of the United States of America Barack Obama to participate, within the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, in the Leaders' Summit on the topic „Fight against ISIL and violent extremism“, which will be held on 29 September 2015 at the UN headquarters in New York.

This summit will be an opportunity to discuss progress in the fight against terrorism, global commitments, and strengthening individual and collective efforts in the fight against ISIL. The summit will focus on a comprehensive and integrative approach, aimed at the complete defeat of this group and confronting its false ideologies.
