
SARAJevo, (Patria) - The President of HDZ BiH and the Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, spoke today by phone with Bakir Izetbegović, President of SDA and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced from HDZ BiH.
During the conversation, opinions were exchanged on the state of healthcare and the measures taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The procurement of protective equipment, which must be a priority issue for everyone, was discussed in particular.
A joint decision by the Speaker of the House of Peoples and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to request that BiH and other Western Balkan countries be exempted from the decision on the ban of export of medical equipment from the EU due to the coronavirus pandemic was supported.
During the conversation, the importance of joint coordination, in accordance with competencies, was emphasized in order to show solidarity and make the necessary decisions to help people in special need. Individuals and families who are and will be economically affected by the coronavirus pandemic must be the first priority and the subject of governments at all levels.
