Members of the HJPC BiH Presidency held a working meeting with the heads of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH

(Patria) - Members of the newly formed Presidency of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH), consisting of Sanin Bogunić, President, Sanela Gorušanović Butigan and Velimir Ninković, Vice-Presidents, and Sedin Idrizović, permanent member of the HJPC BiH, held a meeting today with the acting President of the Court of BiH, Minka Kreho, and the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić.

The President of the HJPC BiH, Sanin Bogunić, emphasized that the goal of today's meeting was to improve institutional cooperation on all important issues and establish open communication regarding the challenges these judicial institutions face in their work.

The members of the Presidency expressed their full support for the work of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, as well as the importance of dialogue and communication among all three judicial institutions.

The topics of discussion related to issues of efficiency in processing cases of organized crime and corruption, and war crimes cases. The meeting participants also broadly addressed cases concerning the implementation of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and cases related to hate speech.

Furthermore, the focus of the discussion was on the selection and appointment of the most qualified candidates to the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, bearing in mind the significance of the cases processed before them and the attention that the entire Bosnian-Herzegovinian public has directed towards the work of these institutions.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on the drafts of the Law on Amendments to the Law on the HJPC BiH and the Law on Courts at the level of BiH, along with a mutual agreement to continue the open dialogue between the HJPC BiH, the Court of BiH, and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH on all issues in the future.
