Family members, citizens and delegations pay tribute to 43 victims of the massacre near the City Market

In Mula Mustafe Bašeskije Street near the City Market, tribute was paid to 43 Sarajevans killed on August 28, 1995, by shells fired from VRS positions around Sarajevo, reports BH news agency Patria.

On that day, 90 citizens were wounded, some seriously and others lightly. Family members, delegations, and citizens of Sarajevo paid tribute to all the victims.

The commemoration of the sad anniversary began with a fitting musical performance, followed by the recitation of the Fatiha, a minute of silence, and the laying of flowers for 43 innocent victims, paying homage to the fallen.

Killed by shrapnel from a 120 mm mortar shell fired from the direction of Trebević, which exploded near the northern entrance to the City Market, were: Omer Ajanović, Hidajet Alić, Salko Alić, Zeno Bašević, Husein Baktašević, Sevda Brkan-Kruščica, Vera Brutus-Đukić, Halida Cepić, Paša Crnčalo, Mejra Cocalić, Razija Čolić, Esad Čoranbegić, Dario Dlouhi, Salko Duraković, Alija Dževlan, Najla Fazlić, Rijad Garbo, Ibrahim Hajvaz, Meho Herceglić, Jasmina Hodžić, Hajrudin Hozo, Jusuf Hašimbegović, Adnan Ibrahimagić, Ilija Karanović, Mesudija Kerović, Vehid Komar, Muhamed Kukić, Mirsad Kovačević, Hašim Kurtović, Ismet Klarić, Masija Lončar, Osman Mahmutović, Senad Muratović, Goran Poturković, Blaženka Smoljan, Hamid Smajlhodžić, Hajro Šatrović, Samir Topuzović, Hamza Tunović, Ajdin Vukotić, Sabaheta Vukotić, Meho Zećo i Narima Žiga.
