PIC members discussed with Ivanić and Izetbegović

Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović and Mladen Ivanić received members of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) at the level of political directors, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić and the member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović informed the political directors about the current political and socio-economic situation in BiH, and about the process of forming authorities at all levels. They also informed them about the program goals and priorities for the four-year mandate period.

Members of the BiH Presidency emphasized that the priority for future authorities at all levels will be the implementation of socio-economic reforms, which will ensure economic stability and accelerated development of the economy.

PIC members congratulated the newly elected convocation of the BiH Presidency on their mandates, and expressed their expectation that the formation of new authorities at all levels will occur as soon as possible.

They agreed with the members of the BiH Presidency that the focus should be on solving accumulated socio-economic problems and strengthening the rule of law.

Political directors emphasized that they believe in the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that they are encouraged by the expressed readiness of the BiH Presidency to approach problem-solving and the implementation of necessary reforms.

The meeting also discussed the establishment of a coordination mechanism in the EU integration process and the registration of 63 locations of prospective military assets.
