Members of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Crisis Staff: Visoko is an example of how to prepare for the coronavirus pandemic

SARAJevo, (Patria) - On Monday, the Minister of Health of Zenica-Doboj Canton Adnan Jupić, Head of the Department for Infectious and Contagious Diseases of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica and member of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Crisis Staff Ednan dr Drljević, and Head of the Surgical Diseases Service of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica Senad Dervišević visited the Civil Protection Staff of the City of Visoko.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the preventive activities related to the suppression of the coronavirus pandemic that were carried out in Visoko.

On this occasion, the commander of the Civil Protection Staff of the City of Visoko, Amra Babić, along with her associates - members of the Staff, informed the guests about, among other activities, the implementation of the order on the construction of isolation centers for the accommodation of infected persons.

“The sports hall was the most ideal solution for us at this moment. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Health Center, it allows for the formation of two zones of movement – for medical staff and for patients. We have initiated the necessary activities and actions regarding the adaptation and equipping of the space. The procurement of medical equipment follows, and I hope we will successfully complete that as well. The facility has a capacity of about 50 beds, and we hope it will successfully respond to the needs of accommodating patients with mild and moderate cases of coronavirus, should the need arise. I am sure that this isolation center in Visoko, which we have built with the selfless help and support of Visoko businessmen, will be an example of good practice for how other cities in the region should do it. I tell the citizens that this is also a preventive measure, and that there is no room for panic and fear,” said the Mayor of Visoko, Amra Babić.

.The guests were satisfied with what they saw, emphasizing the good cooperation with the local structures in the City of Visoko, which, according to them, have already reached the highest level of protection against the pandemic with their selfless engagement and great professionalism.
