(Patria) - At the "Curine njive" site, a playground in the part of East Stari Grad, deep cracks have been observed, and water continues to flow above that area, according to the bulletin of the Federal Civil Protection Administration.
On the upper part of the embankment, which was previously deposited, no constant water flow or water inflow into the landslide body has been observed. However, an intermittent stream present in the central and lower part of the slope/embankment is beginning to disappear into the cracks, where it infiltrates the landslide body, which may reduce terrain stability.
No work is being carried out on channeling water above the roadway, nor within the landslide body. The situation at the Curine njive landslide site is unchanged compared to previous days, with no indications of further terrain sliding. Everything is covered by a snow cover, so the condition on the ground cannot be assessed.
Considering that winter conditions and snow accumulation hinder access for persons with disabilities, as well as potential medical intervention, a request has been submitted to the Service for Investments and Communal Affairs for KJKP "RAD" to perform snow clearing immediately in an appropriate manner, thereby ensuring safe and easy access for persons with disabilities.
Previous measurements of the amount of water exiting the eastern side of the embankment (carried out by experts from "Rudarski Institut" d.d. Tuzla) showed that the water flow rate is 2.2 l/min. The appearance of water in the western part of the landslide, immediately below the embankment, cannot be precisely determined, but there is a possibility that the water comes from underground catchments under the pressure of the embankment and the material on it.
At this site, 24-hour monitoring is being conducted, and information is regularly submitted to civil protection operational centers, including the Municipal Civil Protection Staff of the Municipality of Stari Grad, as well as the Operational Center of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of Sarajevo Canton and the Institute for Construction of Sarajevo Canton.
The Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of Stari Grad, together with protection and rescue teams, constantly monitors the situation in order to provide timely warnings to the affected population and evacuation if necessary.
