RS Civil Protection requested assistance from BiH Armed Forces: First helicopter already extinguishing fire at Tjentište

(Patria) - RS Civil Protection requested assistance from the BiH Armed Forces for extinguishing the fire at the Tjentište location, Foča municipality. This morning at 6:50 AM, the first helicopter of the BiH Armed Forces took off towards this location. It is already there and extinguishing the fire.

This was announced by the BiH Minister of Defense Zukan Helez, after discussions in previous days regarding requests from RS to have a helicopter from Serbia extinguish the fire at Zelengora and Sutjeska National Park.

Helez responded negatively to these requests, stating that he would not allow a helicopter from Serbia to extinguish a fire in BiH and called on RS institutions to request aircraft from the BiH Armed Forces. This eventually happened.
