
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - KS Civil Protection distributed protective equipment The Civil Protection Headquarters of Sarajevo Canton, chaired by commander and minister Nihada Glamoč, reviewed the current situation in Sarajevo Canton caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak at its third regular session tonight.
Attendees were informed that the Civil Protection Directorate of Sarajevo Canton had distributed available quantities of protective equipment during the day - protective masks, gloves, gowns, and caps that the KS Commodity Reserves Directorate had made available to the Headquarters, the KS Press Service announced.
The distribution was carried out according to priorities, so the following received protective equipment: Association of War Veterans with Disabilities Paraplegics of KS – 1,200 surgical masks with ties and 1,800 surgical gloves, KJU Gerontology Center Sarajevo – 1,000 surgical masks with ties and 1,500 surgical gloves, KJU Home for Children without Parental Care Sarajevo – 1,000 surgical masks with ties and 1,000 surgical gloves, KJU Home for Social Health Care of Persons with Disabilities and Other Persons – 200 surgical masks with ties and 200 surgical gloves, Detention Unit of the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina – 200 surgical masks with ties and 500 surgical gloves, JU Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of Sarajevo Canton – 2,000 surgical gowns with reinforcement and 5,000 surgical caps, JU "General Hospital Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" 5,000 surgical caps, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS – 1,400 surgical masks with ties and 2,000 surgical gloves.
The KS Civil Protection Headquarters will submit updated lists of persons over 65 years of age to the KS Health Insurance Fund tomorrow, so that municipal civil protection headquarters can distribute medications from pharmacies prescribed as regular therapy for this population category through local community secretaries. For all residents over 65 years of age who do not have a close relative to care for them, medications will be delivered by Red Cross volunteers. All prescriptions will be for a period of three (3) months.
Users are obliged to sign a confirmation of received medications.
