CEC: More than 1.2 million citizens have the right to vote in early elections

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced key information ahead of the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, which will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Polling stations will be open from 07:00 to 19:00, and the election silence begins 24 hours before the opening of polling stations, i.e., on Saturday, November 22 at 07:00, and will last until the closing of polling stations on Sunday evening.

During the election silence, all activities that may disrupt or influence the electoral process are prohibited, including public appearances, political advertising, and calls to vote.

At the same time, from November 21 at 07:00, a complete ban on publishing the results of public opinion polls related to voting and elections is in effect.

A total of 2,211 polling stations have been established for these elections, and 139 mobile teams will operate in the field, through which 4,767 voters will be able to vote.

The Central Voters' Register includes 1,264,364 voters, including 20,269 who vote by mail and 258 voters in diplomatic-consular missions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Munich, Berlin, Vienna, and Belgrade.

The CEC of Bosnia and Herzegovina has certified the candidacies of: Dragan Đokanović (Alliance for a New Politics),
Branko Blanuša (SDS), Siniša Karan (SNSD – Milorad Dodik), Nikola Lazarević (Ecological Party of Republika Srpska), and independent candidates Igor Gašević and Slavko Dragičević.

For the supervision of the electoral process, 639 observers have been accredited – 515 from non-governmental organizations, 99 from international organizations, and 25 from political entities.

It is estimated that holding the elections will cost 6,460,000 BAM.
