CEC BiH: Training of Trainers for Election Commissions Held in Banja Luka

SARAJevo, (Patria) - As part of the joint project of the Council of Europe and the Central Election Commission of BiH titled "Training of Trainers for Election Commissions", a training session was held in Banja Luka on January 22 and 23, 2022, for 48 members of 28 municipal/city election commissions.

Previously, training sessions were held in Sarajevo and Teslić, the next one is planned for Tuzla on January 29 and 30, 2022, and after that, training sessions will be held in Mostar and Zenica.

The goal of the training is to increase the pool of highly qualified personnel, i.e., trainers for election administration in BiH, primarily for polling station committees.

In addition to members of the Central Election Commission of BiH, Dr. Ahmet Šantić and Vlado Rogić, as lecturers, Merce Castells, an international election expert, actively participated in the training.

Castells spoke about international and regional election standards.
