Four arrested in Sarajevo for violent behavior, drugs, and theft

(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, during Saturday, August 9, 2025, in several separate operations, deprived four persons of their liberty due to various criminal offenses and misdemeanors.

In Ilidža, around 2 AM, R. B. (1970) from Sarajevo was arrested on suspicion of violent behavior, while at 1 PM in the city center, N. Š. (1987) was apprehended for possession and facilitating the use of narcotic drugs. On the same day at 7 PM, the Center police arrested N. F. (1978) on suspicion of theft. All three suspected cases have been reported to the competent prosecutors, and two were released after criminal processing.

Also, in Hadžići, at 10:15 PM, M. N. (1983) was arrested for committing a misdemeanor offense under the Law on Misdemeanors against Public Order and Peace, and was detained at the police premises.

During the day, the traffic police of the MUP KS issued 754 misdemeanor orders, filed two requests for initiating misdemeanor proceedings, and removed 47 vehicles from traffic for driving under the influence of alcohol, seven drivers without a valid license, as well as several vehicles due to technical malfunction or being unregistered.
