Four Roma families from Kakanj will soon have a roof over their heads, reports the BH News Agency Patria.
The Municipality of Kakanj is financing the reconstruction of a small residential building in the Varda settlement, which will have four apartments, and into which socially endangered Roma families will move.
The apartments will not be permanently assigned to the Roma, but they will receive them for use, while the tenancy rights will remain with the Municipality of Kakanj.
Varda is a settlement in Kakanj, near the city center, where a large number of Roma families live. Many of them live in catastrophically poor conditions, reports Patria.
