Four months of searching for police officer from Tuzla

(Patria) - The search for police officer Samir Mustafić from Tuzla is still ongoing. He was swept away by a torrent of water in the river Jala in Tuzla on March 27, after jumping in after a fugitive he was trying to arrest. The body of the aforementioned fugitive was found on April 16.

Although more than four months have passed since he disappeared in the torrent of the river Jala, members of the Lukavac Mountain Rescue Service were still searching a part of the river Spreča today.

“Today we inspected one section of the river Spreča. Unfortunately, the search is still without results,” the rescuers stated on their page.

The Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton has searched the rivers Jala and Spreča dozens of times together with the Special Support Police Unit, members of the Srebrenik Mountain Rescue Service, the Eco Diving Club of Disabled Persons Lukavac, and the Diving Club Vidara Gradačac. Heavy machinery was also engaged in the field, all with the aim of finding the missing police officer.
