SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Goran Čerkez, member of the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that 3,320 citizens have been tested in the FBiH, of which 371 are positive.
During the last 24 hours, 290 citizens were tested, of which 24 are newly positive.
“We expect a further increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus and we are aware that the measures that have been adopted have greatly changed life, but the measures have yielded results. These are the only measures that contribute to preventing the spread of coronavirus. It is important that we continue to implement them, both those personal protective measures and all others, and that we continue to fight together against the coronavirus. It is very important that all citizens who have symptoms, especially milder ones, which can be a sore throat, headache, malaise, do not go to work with such symptoms. It is very important that we all contact doctors within the health centre and act according to the rules that have been adopted,” said Čerkez.
He said he especially wanted to thank the pensioners who today proved their dignity and that they can implement all the prescribed measures and that they can endanger neither themselves nor others.
Čerkez said that the only official information is provided through press conferences, and all cantons, due to the interests of their citizens, i.e. cantonal crisis staffs, transmit all information in their area.
He could not answer the media's question about how many medical staff are infected with coronavirus in the FBiH, nor in how many health institutions the coronavirus has entered, stating only that “it has entered many”.
