SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Starting Monday, April 13, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH) will begin issuing 2 KM coins, additionally minted in 2019.
The coins of the specified denomination, 2019 issue, were minted in accordance with the regular activities of the CBBiH, which aim to ensure sufficient coins of the appropriate denomination structure for the needs of cash circulation in BiH.
The basic features and design of the additional quantities of 2 KM coins, 2019 issue, remain the same as on the coins of previous issues of this denomination, with the reverse of the coin featuring the numerical designation "2019", as the year of minting of the specified denomination.
Minting new quantities of convertible mark coins does not have an inflationary effect, as no KM will be put into circulation without respecting the currency board principle, which means that every issued convertible mark has coverage in foreign currency at a fixed exchange rate.
The coins will be put into circulation successively, i.e. as needed, through the main units and branches of the CBBiH.
