Burzić: Investigation into Mahir's death will go to the end, 90 witnesses heard

The investigation into the death of 14-year-old Mahir Rakovac, as confirmed by the Chief Prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, Dalida Burzić, at today's press conference, was opened on December 14, 2015, when the prosecutor on duty ordered an autopsy of the body, writes the Patria News Agency.

A report from Dubravko Lovrenović and his wife, with allegations casting doubt on suicide, only arrived at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office on January 5.

- I announced earlier that we would approach this case very seriously and go to the end of the investigation. The investigation is being conducted by two prosecutors to whom this is their only case. So far, they have heard 90 witnesses, and eight expert examinations have been ordered. Certain checks have been requested from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and 80 different requests have been sent to services and the social work center. Certain technical equipment has also been seized from several individuals, and correspondence and media content have been taken into consideration, said Burzić.
