SARAJEVO, (Patria) - One of the hopes of our national team, goalkeeper Benjamin Burić, ahead of tomorrow's start of the European Championship and the match against Sweden, gave a statement to the official website of the Handball Federation of BiH and called on everyone to focus more on sports, and less on tensions and talk about war.
"The journey went great, as did the arrival at the hotel and the testing. We are all negative, a weight has been lifted off our shoulders. Now we can dedicate ourselves to handball. Tomorrow, that match against the group favorites awaits us. In any case, we have nothing to lose. It is one of the best selections in Europe, we can only gain. I personally, as well as the other guys, can't wait for that match to show what we have trained," said Burić, who is also the goalkeeper for Flensburg.
He also sent a message to the fans: "I would tell you to follow us and enjoy handball, not to lose hope and desire for this national team. Turn to other topics, it's better to watch sports than to talk about politics and Covid."
The match BiH – Sweden starts tomorrow at 8:30 PM, with a live TV broadcast on Arena Sport 1 channel.
