Bukva: Teletović is a player of great caliber, and Musa one of the national team's leaders

Sejo Bukva, a member of the Management Board and Vice President of the Basketball Federation of BiH, told Patria that last night's game against Sweden was difficult, especially due to the loss we suffered from Russia. He said that Sweden is not a basketball superpower, but they showed that they never give up.

Last night's game was led by Jusuf Nurkić and Džanan Musa, who scored 19 points each, while Mirza Teletović showed the effects of health problems and therapy, even though he scored 12 points. 

However, Bukva is confident that Teletović will be in full form by the match against Russia.

- I think we will have him in the most important game against Russia. We have time to prepare. He is a player of great caliber who can defeat Russia on his own – said Bukva.

He had special words for the 17-year-old Džanan Musa, whom Bukva brought from Bihać to Sarajevo and helped him develop his talent in the right direction.

- I regret that no one highlighted that a 17-year-old is playing 25-30 minutes and is one of the national team's leaders, and this has not been recorded since the era of Dražen Petrović. He showed his reasoning and thinking in a difficult, decisive moment like a top professional and player, as if he had enormous experience – says Bukva.

Bukva also noted that with this victory, BiH has kept its doors open for the European Championship.

- The next step is Russia; Russia and Sweden play on Wednesday, and if they beat Sweden, then Russia would qualify for the first place even with a loss to us (not greater than 29 points difference), and this victory would give us momentum – says Bukva.

Otherwise, praise for the young Musa is coming from all sides, as the official FIBA website wrote that he "stole the show" from Teletović and Nurkić, and congratulations also arrived from Musa's club, KK Cedevita.
