Numerous guests at the reception hosted by Cardinal Puljić

The Archbishop Metropolitan of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljić, hosted a traditional Easter reception on April 6th at the Priests' Home in Sarajevo for representatives of religious, political, cultural, and public life.

Cardinal Puljić thanked everyone for their Easter greetings and good wishes. Religious representatives also attended the reception, including the Rais al-ulama of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein efendija Kavazović, delegates from the Serbian Orthodox Church, and the President of the Jewish Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jakob Finci.

Numerous politicians from Bosnia and Herzegovina, political leaders, members of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the US Ambassador Maureen Cormack attended the reception.

During his address, Cardinal Puljić stated that the joy and anticipation of Pope Francis's visit on June 6, 2015, cannot be overlooked.

- Although it is a one-day visit, it has already brought a strong message of the world's engagement with Bosnia and Herzegovina. I hope that the responsible powers will approach the resolution of building this country and state more seriously, as a normal home for all its inhabitants. I call on domestic leaders to protect people, their property, and the rule of law, which is a guarantee of security," said Cardinal Puljić, noting that the Euro-Atlantic integration program should be approached seriously so that we do not become a global black hole.

- It is necessary to open perspectives by creating jobs. Work restores self-confidence and fulfillment to people, if they live from work and support their families," emphasized Cardinal Puljić.
