(Patria) - On the occasion of Easter, which was on Sunday, April 5, numerous greetings were sent to members of the Catholic faith in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to Archbishop Tomo Vukšić.
The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, sent greetings on the occasion of the upcoming Easter holiday.
"Dear Archbishop Vukšić, I extend my sincere congratulations to you personally, to the clergy of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, and to all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of Easter.
Easter carries a strong message of hope, new beginnings, and renewal, and reminds us of the enduring values of faith, forgiveness, and community among people. In times of challenges, these messages have special significance and further oblige us to mutual respect, understanding, and appreciation of diversity, on which Bosnia and Herzegovina is based.
In this spirit, I wish you to spend the holiday days in joy and family environment, filled with faith and optimism for a better tomorrow. Happy Easter!", it is stated.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina
(PSBiH), Dragan Čović, congratulated Easter to the Metropolitan Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Monsignor Dr.
Tomo Vukšić, all bishops, priests, nuns, and monks, and all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Your Grace, Archbishop,
on this solemn occasion when the Church celebrates Christ's victory over sin, death, and evil, and renews hope, pointing to a new perspective of life, I wish you personally, as well as all bishops, priests, nuns, and monks, and all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a happy and blessed Easter.
In a time marked by numerous challenges, we are called not to close ourselves off from reality, nor to allow ourselves to be paralyzed by omnipresent fear, but to bravely move forward, sometimes even "in hope against all hope" (cf. Rom 4:18), but firmly relying on the Easter faith, so that we can contribute to building an atmosphere of mutual trust, understanding, and solidarity. Therefore, our daily lives require us to be imbued with active love for our neighbors, especially for those in need, discouraged, or longing for a word of comfort.
Therefore, may the Easter message inspire all of us to responsibly and conscientiously, each in our own mission, contribute to building a community based on justice, truth, and love. I also wish you and your associates good health, enthusiasm in proclaiming the Gospel, and abundant God's blessings, and may the Risen Lord strengthen you in your pastoral mission and grant you wisdom, patience, and joy in serving the good of the people of God entrusted to you.
Please accept, Your Grace, my special regards and sincere congratulations.
Happy and blessed Easter!”.
The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, sent greetings on the occasion of the upcoming Easter to all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Easter is a holiday that testifies to the victory of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over every temptation. This holy holiday calls us to build bridges instead of divisions, to nurture solidarity as strength, and to preserve tradition as a good that unites and enriches us.
Precisely today, more than ever, these values are not a matter of choice; they are the key to the survival and development of any society that wants to grow, last, and succeed.
May this Easter be a moment of renewal and a new beginning, a time when the unity of all of us in Bosnia and Herzegovina overcomes divisions and builds trust. May this holiday bring peace to hearts, blessings to believers' homes, and strengthen faith in the eternal value of sacrifice for the common good. Happy and blessed Easter!", states Prime Minister Nikšić's greeting.
The Deputy Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivica Bošnjak, sent greetings to the employees of the Ministry and police agencies in BiH, and to all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of Easter.
“May this greatest Christian holiday bring you peace, joy, and hope, and further strengthen unity, understanding, and mutual respect. With wishes for good health and success in your professional and personal life, I wish you a happy and blessed Easter”.
On the occasion of the upcoming Easter holidays, Krug 99 extends sincere congratulations and best wishes to all Catholics to spend them in good health, family happiness, neighborly understanding, and human attention.
"The lessons of the times in which we live have not yet been learned. It is increasingly certain that without strengthening faith in the spirit of mutual understanding, respect, solidarity, and renewal of humanistic achievements, the entire civilization and all people in our country will be at a loss. No individual, no collective, no community can progress without equal rights and freedoms for every person. The way out of our current, as well as civilizational crisis, will not be found by dominating selfish interests, but by the proven values of community and the goals of good for every person.
We call on believers of every faith to renew the customs of neighborly solidarity and attention so that the holiday pleasures of Easter are as complete as possible. The energy of our unity is a bulwark against all despair! Happy and blessed Easter!”
The Mayor of Centar Municipality, Srđan Mandić, the Speaker of the Municipal Council Centar, Benjamin Isović, and the councilors of the Municipal Council Centar, on the occasion of the great Catholic holiday of Easter, extend sincere and heartfelt congratulations to all believers of the Catholic faith in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Tomo Vukšić, with wishes that they spend the holiday days in good health and joy, with faith and hope for a better common future.
"May your holiday days be filled with joy and love, faith and hope for a better common future in peace, understanding, and solidarity. I sincerely believe that together we will overcome all adversities. This time has shown us that we need to rely on each other, and that only together can we build a more just society and move our only homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, forward", the greeting states.
The Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Nezir Pivić, and the Speaker of the Assembly, Ćazim Huskić, sent Easter greetings to Catholic believers.
