
(Patria) - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Josip Brkić, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivan Sabolić, today, on the occasion of the recent attack on the first-class consul of the Republic of Croatia in Banja Luka.
Deputy Brkić strongly condemned the mentioned incident, which represents a serious threat to the security of diplomatic representatives and the principles established by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. It was emphasized that the security and inviolability of diplomatic staff are fundamental obligations of every host country.
Deputy Brkić calls on the competent institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to urgently arrest those responsible and prosecute them, emphasizing that such actions will not be tolerated.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains committed to the consistent respect of international obligations and ensuring the full protection of all diplomatic and consular representatives accredited in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
