British portal Cheapflights, dedicated to promoting tourist destinations worldwide, wrote about Bosnia and Herzegovina, describing it as Europe's best-kept secret, offering winter tourism enthusiasts a true idyll at much more affordable prices than in other European countries, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
The portal writes that, after the conflicts that affected the country in the 1990s, tourism in BiH is developing slowly but steadily. The mountains surrounding Sarajevo, the capital of BiH, primarily Bjelašnica and Jahorina, can "go big" before other European ski destinations, primarily due to smaller crowds on the ski slopes and much lower prices.
Cheapflights recommends Jahorina, which offers 25 km of ski slopes, and notes that the famous Bosnian hospitality should not be forgotten.
They also recommend Mount Bjelašnica, stating that it is only 25 km from Sarajevo, offers a large number of steep slopes and incredibly cheap ski passes, reports NAP.
