
(Patria) - The Higher Public Prosecution in Belgrade has ordered the police to identify the participants in the incident and collect all necessary data and information regarding the event of May 26, 2024, in Voždovac, after which Đ.M. (37) died at the Emergency Center in Belgrade.
The Prosecution ordered an autopsy with toxicology for Đ.M. to determine the exact cause of death.
The Eighth Department of the Criminal Police Directorate for the City of Belgrade informed the duty prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecution in Belgrade that a physical altercation occurred between unknown persons and Đ.M. on Dragice Končar Street in Voždovac, during which Đ.M. sustained head injuries, after which he was transported to the Emergency Center, where he soon died.
The Prosecution, in cooperation with the police, will clarify all circumstances of this event, after which the public will be informed about further proceedings, according to the Higher Public Prosecution.
As numerous media outlets have already reported, and as confirmed by Vojin Mijatović himself, a minister in the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is his younger brother. Mijatović arrived in Belgrade last night to be with the family of his deceased brother.
