BPS took money from Hadžići residents and gave it to its foundation

The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, headed by Faid Hećo (BPS), allocated KM 200,000 from the 2013 budget to the Foundation for the Protection of Historical Facts "Justice" Sarajevo, whose director is Medina Delalić (BPS), the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP) has learned.

The money was allocated, as stated in Hećo's decision, based on the Public Call for financing/co-financing of legal aid for suspected and accused former members of the Army of BiH in war crimes cases for 2013.

However, the Foundation was established on 09/02/2013, as stated in the decision of the Federal Ministry of Justice, only two months before the money was approved from the budget.

At the same time, the "Patriotic Front" Foundation from Hadžići, established in 2011, applied for the same Public Call as the "Justice" Foundation. However, they did not receive funds due to a request that was "not formally legally correct," as the Ministry responded.

The Ministry's explanation states that it will "oblige the "Justice" Foundation to support the "Patriotic Front" Foundation from Hadžići with the allocated funds." However, a member of the Management Board of the "Patriotic Front" Foundation from Hadžići, Alija Kazić, tells NAP that the whole case is suspicious.

- Look who the founder is and everything will be clear to you. We refused cooperation with the "Justice" Foundation because they wanted to use us as a cover for their activities, and give us crumbs. We are not budget users and we cannot generate money through business. We have an account and we spend as much money as we have - says Kazić.

Medina Delalić, a member of BPS – Sefer Halilović, presents herself as the director of the "Justice" Foundation. Incidentally, Medina Delalić, as "Oslobođenje" wrote last December, was proposed for as many as five commissions within the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of KS, among other BPS members. The then minister Asim Džambasović (BPS), who became minister in November 2012 after the dismissal of six ministers in the KS Government, instead of Nedžad Ajnadžić (SDA), refused to sign that decision and resigned in April 2013 for what he called "private reasons".

Faid Hećo (BPS) immediately took his place.

Kazić also points out that the "Patriotic Front" Foundation received money for its activities, but during the mandate of Nedžad Ajnadžić.

- Since Faid Hećo has been minister, we have received nothing. That is a huge amount of money, just look at how it is distributed - says Kazić.

The decision of the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of KS states that the money will be spent as follows: KM 100,000 for financial support to participants of the defense-liberation war 92-95 against whom court proceedings have been initiated (all money goes to lawyers), KM 80,000 for the project of purchasing documents, audio and visual material, creation of documents, and KM 20,000 for organizing a scientific conference on the verdicts of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

- Giving so much money for archival material is beyond all reason. Wherever you go, you can get or copy those documents, not buy them - concludes Kazić.
