Bosnia and Herzegovina hit by two earthquakes 10 minutes apart

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Residents of Tuzla, as well as the wider region, were disturbed this morning by an earthquake that occurred at 7:05 AM. 

The epicenter of the earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale, was near the settlement of Mramor, about 17 kilometers from Tuzla.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to Tuzla media, disturbed citizens left their homes.

The earthquake was also felt in Banja Luka. 

In terms of strength, this earthquake, which disturbed the residents of Tuzla, is considered light on the Richter scale, producing noticeable shaking of objects in homes and sounds of rattling. Damage after these earthquakes is rare. 

Ten minutes later, a new, but significantly weaker, earthquake occurred, according to data from the European Seismological Centre.

The epicenter of the second earthquake was the settlement of Gnojnica, about 30 kilometers from Tuzla, and its magnitude was 2.6 on the Richter scale.
