Bosniaks did not attend the session of the City Council of Mostar

(Patria) - The session of the City Council of Mostar on Thursday is being held without the attendance of councilors from the Bosniak Club, who will not participate in the Council's work until their earlier conclusions and demands are, as they state, acknowledged and implemented.

The President of the City Council, Đani Rahimić, authorized the Deputy President of the City Council, Goran Bošnjak, to lead the session.

Councilors will, among other things, discuss reports on the work of city cultural, sports, and social institutions, property matters, traffic safety in the area of Mostar, and statutes of institutions.

The decision on the fee for one-day tourist taxes in the City of Mostar, the Decision on amending the decision on communal order, the decision on concessions, credit debt for Mostar Bus, decisions on salaries in the bodies of the City of Mostar, the decision on the address system, the decision on the consent of Vodovod for cooperation with Čitluk to arrange the supply of Žitomislići, the establishment of a renewable energy community, the decision on determining the price per square meter and construction fees, and the draft decision on salaries of directors in public enterprises, which would reduce the amount of income from three average salaries to two, did not receive the necessary majority to be included on the agenda of today's session of the Mostar City Council.

We remind you that at the session of the Bosniak Councilors' Club, held on Wednesday in Mostar, it was decided that the Club will not participate in the work of the City Council until their earlier demands related to personnel issues in city services and public enterprises, as well as the dispute over cadastral solutions related to Elektroprivreda BiH and Elektroprivreda HZ HB, are acknowledged and implemented.

The adopted conclusions also state that the Bosniak Councilors' Club "welcomes the announcement of the public advertisement for the nomination of candidates for members of the supervisory boards of public enterprises owned by the City".

Furthermore, it is added that the Club expresses support for the President of the Council, Đani Rahimić, and calls on him to "use all legal and institutional mechanisms to protect the interests of the Bosniaks of Mostar, in accordance with the Club's conclusions".
