Bosnalijek donates medicines to institutions for the care of children and youth, humanitarian organizations

(Patria) - The largest Bosnian pharmaceutical manufacturer Bosnalijek has, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, fully focused its operations on supplying medical institutions and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with all its products. Despite the enormous demand for medicines and disinfectants, Bosnalijek has managed to secure significant quantities of its products, which it donates to various institutions whose activities involve the protection of children and youth, as well as humanitarian organizations.

Thus, in recent days, donations of medicines have been handed over to SOS Kinderdorf Sarajevo, the Public Institution Home for Children without Parental Care Bjelave, the Public Institution Home "Rada Vranješević" Banja Luka, the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth Pazarić, the humanitarian society Merhamet, and the Elementary School "Srednje". Additionally, this elementary school was also donated 12 tablet devices to ensure that all children attending this school have the opportunity to follow online classes.

The General Director of Bosnalijek, Nedim Uzunović, emphasizes that they are fully aware of the increased needs for medicines during this period, as well as the urgency to make certain resources available primarily for the purpose of prevention and health protection.

"We have launched a campaign to donate our products to institutions caring for the most vulnerable children, and to humanitarian organizations that also deliver these products to those in greatest need. Our hardworking employees, under truly difficult conditions, work without interruption and, for now, a secure supply of the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina with all our products is ensured, especially those that can be considered essential in the current crisis. We are trying to provide help to everyone, in accordance with our capabilities, and we will continue to do so," Uzunović points out.

Bosnalijek has also, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, continuously donated medicines and protective equipment to healthcare institutions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, and so far donations have been sent to clinical centers, hospitals, and health centers across our Bosnia and Herzegovina. Such campaigns will continue in the future.
