(Patria) - The Bosnian House in Birmingham was the subject of a positive and constructive debate in the Parliament of the United Kingdom, where its work in supporting education, youth development, integration, and strengthening social cohesion was publicly recognized.
During the parliamentary debate, MP Tahir Ali highlighted the Bosnian House in Birmingham as a reliable, community-led space that helps people rebuild their lives through learning, opportunities, and mutual connection.
As a beneficiary of the Bosnian House's space, he spoke from personal experience, emphasizing that he had witnessed firsthand the positive impact of its work at the local, national, and international levels.
He particularly emphasized the importance of community-based organizations in strengthening local environments and social cohesion.
The Bosnian House provides support to the Bosnian, Ukrainian, Syrian, and Afghan communities, as well as many other newly arrived and long-standing communities, through inclusive programs in education, youth work, employment, well-being, and community connection.
This recognition in the UK Parliament represents a strong affirmation of the work being done at the Bosnian House, as well as the dedication of its staff, volunteers, and partner organizations, the BH UK Network announced this evening.
