Boris Barun resigns as judge of the Constitutional Court of FBiH

(Patria) - Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Boris Barun has resigned from that position due to private health reasons, reports Istraga.ba.

Barun informed the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH about this by letter, which also confirms candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court of FBiH.

“As, according to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the House of Peoples confirms candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I consider it my duty to inform you that on March 10, 2026, the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted my resignation from the position of judge of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which I submitted due to private health reasons,” Barun wrote.

Barun was elected to the position of judge of the Constitutional Court of FBiH on April 22, 2025, at a session of the House of Peoples of FBiH. In his biography, he stated that he was a representative of the HDZ, which was inconsistent with the function he held.
