Borac expectedly celebrated at the bottom team, Sloga continued excellent home form

(Patria) - Two matches of the 17th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina were played today at 1 PM, featuring Sloga Meridian vs. Posušje, and Zvijezda 09 vs. Borac.

At the City Stadium in Ugljevik, teams from two different ends of the Premier League table faced each other.

Before this match, Zvijezda 09 was in last place with eight points, while Borac had already secured the title of autumn champion as the leader with 39 points.

Therefore, it is no surprise that the visitors from Banja Luka were the dominant opponent today and ultimately won 2:1.

After an even start to the match, Borac took the initiative, which they crowned with a goal from Zoran Kvržić in the 43rd minute.

The visitors also started the second half better and doubled their lead in the 56th minute with a goal from David Čavić.

In the 73rd minute, the home team, led by Josip Ivančić, reduced the visitors' lead. The hosts had a few more chances until the end of the match, but the score did not change, and the visitors recorded their 13th victory of the season.

Sloga Meridian continued its excellent home form, winning 1:0 against Posušje in Modriča today.

There were no goals in the first half. Sloga's dominance was crowned with a goal in the 61st minute. The scorer was Miloš Nikolić.

The visitors then became more open towards the end of the match but failed to create a serious chance for an equalizer.

With today's victory, the hosts have moved closer to the top of the table and positions that lead to qualification for European competitions next season.

In the last round of the autumn part of the season, Sloga will visit Tuzla City, while Posušje will host Borac.
