Bled Strategic Forum: More than 700 participants from 60 countries

More than 700 participants from more than 60 countries will participate in the Bled Strategic Forum (BSF), a traditional international conference held on Monday and Tuesday (September 1st and 2nd) in Slovenia, reports the Patria News Agency.

The central theme of the gathering, which is being held for the tenth time and is the main foreign policy event in Slovenia, is “Vision of New Partnerships”.

Immediately after the opening of the conference, guests will be welcomed by Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar and Minister of Foreign Affairs Karl Erjavec, followed by a traditional panel discussion on the situation in the region and the approximation of Western Balkan countries to the European Union.

Some of the announced discussion topics include combating sexual violence in conflicts, the refugee crisis, and the EU enlargement process. On the second day of the conference, economic topics will be discussed, such as the consequences of the economic crisis, tourism, and the establishment of a free trade area between the EU and the USA through the TTIP trade agreement.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will be represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak.
