Bjelašnica: 13th Traditional Realway Basketball Camp Begins

The second session of the traditional basketball camp, organized by KK Realway, began on July 17, 2016. As every year, the camp is held on Bjelašnica mountain in ideal conditions for the psychophysical development of young talented basketball players. Traditionally, a large number of participants from the most popular basketball school in our country register for this basketball camp.

Due to a lack of financial support, unfortunately, this year the camp has slightly fewer than a hundred participants, unlike previous years when the number of participants reached up to two hundred.

Despite everything, the dedicated and professional coaching staff of KK Realway is doing everything to provide its members with ideal working conditions.

Among the novelties of this year's camp is the participation of young and successful basketball players from all over BiH, including players who were the best in their clubs last season. There are players from Zenica, Bugojno, Žepče, Prozor, as well as young basketball talents training abroad.

The president of KK Realway, Nedim Džemić, states that many national team players have passed through previous camps, but this camp is also very important for children who do not have the opportunity to achieve top sports results, or perhaps will not have professional careers in this sport.

Nevertheless, staying in the ideal conditions of the mountain environment and socialization are just some of the benefits of staying on Bjelašnica offered to every child. From 7 AM to 10:30 PM, almost every moment is adequately filled and truly reflects the working day of a future basketball player.

There are two training sessions per day, video analyses, guest lecturers, individual work with players, and we especially highlight the visits of many successful athletes, coaches, and sports workers who, by their example, directly promote universal sports values. These are some of the planned activities of the camp.

Every day after the obligations are completed, the MVP of the day is chosen and receives an appropriate gift. This way, a message is sent to all others about what a young athlete should be like. First and foremost is fair play, i.e., respect for others, followed by dedication, commitment, self-motivation, and a positive attitude – virtues that future basketball players, as well as all young people, should cultivate.

The second session of the Realway Basketball Camp will last until Saturday, July 23, 2016, when Family Day is planned, to which all parents, children, and friends of the largest basketball family in our country are invited.

With the final competitions on the last day of the camp, as well as the awarding of diplomas to all participants, the curtain falls on another successful season of the most successful and most popular basketball school in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

KK Realway was founded in 2003 with the aim of promoting all the values that sport can enrich young people with. After only two years of intensive work on mass participation, it became the first choice for parents who want to enroll their children in basketball and at the same time entrust them to safe hands, which the KK Realway coaching staff certainly is.

Since 2005, KK Realway has been one of the largest nurseries for young players. It is a regular participant in the finals, both at the Cantonal and Federal levels, and often in the National finals in younger categories.

One of the greatest assets of this club, after its professional staff, is the great support of parents, as around 500 children train in our club every year. It is important to emphasize that all of them, in addition to the regular training process, also have the Realway Kids League, which is the most popular basketball competition for children in our country.
