Bjelašnica Among First to Open, Among Last to Close Ski Season

(Patria) - The ski season on Bjelašnica, managed by KJP ZOI'84, was marked by exceptional results and unique circumstances that made this winter particularly significant for the Canton of Sarajevo (KS), the Ministry of Economy of KS announced this evening.

This season, Bjelašnica was among the first ski resorts to open the winter season, and at the same time, it is among the last to close it, confirming the stability of the system, improved technical capacities, and quality of ski resort management.

Thanks to favorable weather conditions, as well as improved infrastructure, citizens and visitors had the opportunity to enjoy a rare experience of spring skiing, which has not been remembered for many years.

On the occasion of May 1st, International Workers' Day, free skiing will be organized on Bjelašnica from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, as well as additional content for all visitors who want to be part of the finale of this successful season.

The Ministry of Economy of KS emphasizes that the results of this season are a direct consequence of continuous investments in infrastructure modernization and strengthening the operational capacities of KJP ZOI'84, thereby increasingly positioning Bjelašnica as an all-year-round tourist destination.

"Such results confirm that investments in public enterprises do not only represent the maintenance of the existing state but also the creation of conditions for tourism development, improvement of the offer, and strengthening of the overall competitiveness of KS.

Today, Bjelašnica is not just a winter destination, but a space that attracts visitors throughout the year and contributes to the development of the local economy," the Ministry stated.
