Former head of BiH diplomacy Sven Alkalaj charged with dereliction of duty

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed the indictment charging Sven Alkalaj with the criminal offense of dereliction of duty, reports the Patria News Agency.

The indictment states that the accused Sven Alkalaj, as an official in BiH institutions, in his capacity as Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, made a decision to pay a monetary reward to Ana Trišić Babić, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, for her work in the NATO coordination team of the Council of Ministers of BiH, thereby knowingly violating the Decision of the Council of Ministers which stipulates that monetary compensation does not belong to the head and deputy head of BiH institutions, and thus causing damage to the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the amount of 13,418.59 KM.
