(Patria) - A group of former workers of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine gathered again for the second time today in front of the gate of the Stara Jama facility.
47 of them met the conditions for retirement back in 2025, but due to unpaid contributions since 2009, they have not yet exercised this right.
The union organisation of the Zenica mine stated that they received a promise that the service connection would be done through grant funds of three million secured by the Government of the Federation and the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry. However, the realisation has not yet occurred.
They are also announcing a hunger strike on Monday if their problem does not start being resolved.
