(Patria) - Former NFL player Mike Williams has died at the age of 36 from injuries sustained at a construction site, reports the New York Post.
During his playing career, which ended in 2016, Williams played for three well-known clubs: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs.
However, he did not make an impression at any of them as he did at Syracuse University, so he was left without a contract and had to seek a new career.
Although he earned nearly $12 million during his career, he drifted through various jobs and eventually had to work on a construction site.
A steel beam fell on him while he was working, injuring his brain and spinal cord, and also causing complete paralysis of most of his body (right arm and below the waist).
Multiple sources have confirmed to me that former Syracuse and #Bills WR Mike Williams has passed away following injuries suffered during an accident while working at a construction site.

Doctors therefore decided to put him in an induced coma on September 3, but unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries.
