BIHAMK: Crowds Expected Towards Excursion Sites

(Patria) - The May Day holidays have begun, so an increased frequency of vehicles is expected on all roads in our country during the day. We highlight sections leading to local excursion sites, as well as border crossings, especially those in the south of the country. The road surface is mostly wet and slippery, so we advise more cautious driving, adapted to the current conditions on the road. In order not to endanger yourself and other traffic participants, we appeal not to get behind the wheel if you have previously consumed alcohol.

Due to the May 1 holiday, the transport of explosive materials is prohibited in the territory of BiH until tomorrow at midnight.

During the holidays, the volume of repair works, which cause changes in traffic patterns, is reduced. We note that delays are possible in places where temporary signage has been set up, and compliance with it is legally mandatory.

We highlight works in the Vranduk II tunnel, on the M-17 Zenica-Nemila main road, where traffic flows in one lane alternately. During the day, due to the increased frequency of vehicles on this section, longer queues form in both directions.

Current waiting times at border crossings are no longer than 30 minutes.

For safety reasons, traffic for freight vehicles and buses has been suspended on roads to and from the Brčko-Gunja border crossing bridge.
