Bihać Heroine Defeats Coronavirus: Melka Vojić (81) Discharged from Hospital to Applause!

(Patria) - Melka Vojić, a grandmother aged 81, was discharged from the Bihać hospital today with ovations from doctors and healthcare workers. Melka has beaten coronavirus! She goes home as a winner in the fight against the virus that has paralyzed and threatened all of humanity.

She was hospitalized with pneumonia and a positive COVID-19 test result. Today, after a multi-day struggle, she emerges as a winner against the virus that has paralyzed the world!

Grandma Melka has five children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She will spend time with them when the measures are lifted, and she says home is the best place.

“I am a woman from Bihać, it will be hard for some virus to get the better of me,” says Grandma Melka, emphasizing that she now feels well.

Grandma Melka is one of 84 recovered patients, but she is definitely one of the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina to have beaten COVID-19. Her success is even greater when we know that out of 28 deaths, 19 deceased patients were over 65 years old.

The coronavirus is extremely dangerous for the elderly. We wish Grandma Melka many more years of life with her loved ones.
