Bosnia and Herzegovina managed to turn the game around and defeat Latvia

SARAJevo, (Patria) - In the first round of qualifications for Eurobasket 2021, the basketball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Latvia in Riga with 62:61.

Latvia played better in the first half and went to the break with a 36:30 lead. At the beginning of the second half, the Latvians extended their lead to +12, but then our team woke up and we reduced the deficit to seven points.

The fourth quarter could go down in the history of our basketball. Our guys went on a 0:16 run, and the Latvians only scored their first points in the eighth minute of the final period. An exciting finish ensued, and the Dragons had more concentration for a great triumph.

For our team, Atić was the most effective with 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists, Halilović added 13 points, and Lazić ten. The winning points for BiH were scored by Adin Vrabac.

For Latvia, Meijers and Laksa scored 13 points each.

On Monday, our team, led by Vedran Bosnić, will host the Greek national team in the second round of qualifications.
