Bosnia and Herzegovina sends protest note to Montenegro over messages from meeting between Dodik and Mandić

(Patria) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has sent a protest note to the authorities of Montenegro because the President of the Montenegrin Parliament, Andrija Mandić, received the President of the RS, Milorad Dodik, in official premises without displaying the symbols of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but rather those of its entity, the RS.

This information was confirmed to Radio Free Europe (RFE) from the cabinet of Minister Elmedin Konaković.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasizes that the protest note was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro also due to the messages from yesterday's official meeting between Dodik and Mandić. During the official visit to Podgorica, Dodik stated that the "Serbian world" is a phenomenal idea.

The term "Serbian world" refers to the ideology of uniting all Serbs wherever they live. It was created on the model of the "Russian world," which served to spread culture outside Russia, wherever the Russian language is spoken.

The creator of this idea is the former Minister of Defense of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, with whom Dodik has close ties.

Mandić stated that it was a great honor to host Dodik.

- Besides being the President of the Parliament, I am the President of the New Serbian Democracy. The New Serbian Democracy and Dodik's Alliance of Independent Social Democrats are sister parties. These are primarily Serbian parties - the Serbian people of the RS support them, and the Montenegrin people support us - Mandić stated.

Dodik, who is under sanctions from the US and the UK due to secessionist aspirations, went to Montenegro after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 21, for the fourth time since the start of the invasion of Ukraine.

Due to Dodik's visit, several hundred citizens protested in front of the Parliament with the message "We must say NO to Mandić and Dodik! Long live eternal Montenegro. Long live eternal Bosnia and Herzegovina."

Entering the parliament building, Dodik greeted the gathered crowd with three fingers, to which they whistled and shouted "fascist." They unfurled the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina and held a banner saying "Putin's envoys are not welcome."
