BiH plays the match of the year against Belgium, only a win keeps us in the race for the World Cup

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team will play the most important match of these qualifications tonight at the Grbavica stadium, writes the Patria agency.

The Dragons' opponent will be the Belgian team, which has already secured a place in Russia, while our team needs a win to keep its chances for the playoffs alive.

Coach Mehmed Baždarević said at yesterday's press conference that we can only win with brave and fighting play, and everyone in our camp thinks that way.

Injuries and suspensions are causing the coach a lot of problems in team selection. Ervin Zukanović will not play due to suspension, but will be available for the duel with Estonia.

Ermin Bičakčić, Miralem Pjanić, and Jozo Šimunović have been ruled out due to injuries and have not even traveled to Sarajevo, while Avdija Vršajević and Sejad Salihović were injured during our national team's training sessions.

We have played Belgium seven times so far. We have three wins, just like the Red Devils, while one match ended without a winner. Interestingly, Belgium has never managed to win in our country, while the Dragons, under Ćiro Blažević, celebrated in the Cristal Arena in Genk with a score of 4:2 on March 28, 2009.

Exactly one year ago, on October 7, 2016, we played Belgium and lost 4:0. The scorers for the Red Devils were Hazard, Alderweireld, Lukaku, and Emir Spahić, who scored an own goal.

The match at the Grbavica stadium starts at 6 PM. The main referee will be William Collum from Scotland.
